#REEFRATTOMETRO – Refractometer ATC backlit Led – WATER RESISTANT

39.90 inc. VAT

Refractometer for salinity with ATC system (automatic temperature compensation).

LED backlighting by means of a button on the reading plate
The only Water resistant refractometer
It is recommended to carry out the calibration on first use.

For Calibration: Lift the lid and place 2-3 drops of distilled water / osmosis on the prism.

Close the lid so that the water expands over the entire surface without air bubbles or dry spots.

Wait 30 seconds for the temperature to stabilize.

Click on the plate to activate the LED and look through the eyepiece in the visible circle degrees of measurement are indicated (by adjusting the focus using the special ring).

The top should be blue while the bottom should be white.

Look into the eyepiece and turn the upper screw with the provided screwdriver up to the limit where the blue upper part and the white lower part corresponding to 0 meet.

Thus ends the calibration procedure.

The instrument is equipped with ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation).

Once calibrated, changes in the ambient temperature in an acceptable range (10-30 ° C should not affect accuracy).

Pipette, screwdriver and microfiber cleaning cloth included

Measurement:

Place a few drops of water to be tested on the main prism, lower the lid and check through the eyepiece.

The measurement corresponds to the value indicated by the line that divides the blue field from the white field along the graduated scale.

It will indicate concentration. (on the left the density on the right the percentage)

WARNINGS – MAINTENANCE

Do not expose the instrument to moisture.
Do not immerse it in water.

Do not use with abrasive or corrosive chemicals that can damage the prism coating.

Clean the instrument between one measurement and another with a soft, damp cloth.

Failure to clean the prism on a regular basis can lead to inaccurate results and damage to the prism coating.

This is an optical instrument that requires careful management and storage, which allows it to be used reliably for years.
Failure to do so could damage the optical components and the basic structure.
